Pilot Plant for Heavy Metal Recovery via Membrane Electrolysis

The pilot plant for heavy metal recovery via membrane electrolysis is a semi-automatic separation unit. In a research project, they wanted to find out if and how, from metal-containing acids, the acid and the dissolved components can be recovered in metallic form. The center piece of the unit is a membrane electrolysis cell, which enables the metal separation process.

All process steps required for the metal separation are controlled and monitored via a PLC. The process parameters are variable and can be adapted individually at any time.

Field of use:

  • Experiments to separate metal from metal-containing solutions
  • Optimization of process parameters
  • Long-term experiments for piloting
  • Processing of larger quantities on pilot plant scale

Further technical information is given in the Data Sheet.
